This cute but rather average looking subject matter is really only included here for geeky reasons. I just got a new pro lens, and I am really enjoying the well formed out-of-focus areas of shots like these. Really good lenses have a very circular pattern to the out-of-focus area, and it really makes for a calm background to pictures.

If ever there is a right time to visit a place, try your local woods in May. The whole of this wood was a carpet of wild garlic. The intense aroma of the wildly-fresh plant made my mouth water. The wild garlic risotto I made with the leaves, picked on the same afternoon, certainly did the delicate garlic purfume justice.
